"Good things come to those who wait" would be the standard motto for the avid fans of "The Good Wife" as the TV legal and drama series fell into another break as super bowl fever and other major events to be covered by national media grip the weekends of American television.
So while waiting when Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) would grace avid fans' TV screens with her powerful yet pristine aura (the same way Michelle Obama graced the State Of The Union address with the Michael Kors power suit brought to life from "The Good Wife's" fifth season), here would be what's to expect in the upcoming episode based on what happened last time.
In the previous episode, "The Debate," Alicia was on a tightrope balancing act where she has to deal with beefing up the inner workings of her firm after losing a very important client on one end, while keeping a sharp eye on her opponents for State Attorney post. With the weight of the circumstances pressed on both her shoulders, it did not help that the rope she walking on was worn out and about to snap as word on her husband's infidelity went out in the middle of the campaign season.
In the office front while Alicia was busy with her televised debate, Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry) and Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) hired David Lee (Zach Grenier) without Alicia's approval. Kalinda Sharma, played by Archie Panjabi who reportedly would exit the series this season, was also in hot waters as she illegally gains access to certain documents, which she felt could be in a marital case they were handling.
With the turn of events, heads rolled as cases were lost and a particular case, with a reference to the Ferguson shooting, generated a mood of inability on the part of people in power to wield it properly and guarantee peace.
The events in the previous episode made windows on who would be the prospective winners and losers as the season reopens after another possible long hiatus. Add to that, with each episode, the fans are let in the real reason that mobilizes Alicia in to taking up a government post.
