Multitalented Louie C.K.'s award-winning show Louie is back on April 9 at 10:30 pm. FX just confirmed it at TCA tour and announced other comedian's related projects including Pamela Adlon's own show Better Things which he will direct too.
The Extraordinaire series Louie marks its fifth season when it begins to air. It will have eight episodes that according to 47-year old multitalented personality will be funnier than the last season. Loiue is loosely based from Louie CK's true-to-life drama which he also produce, direct, and write. He got two nods from Primetime Emmy Award for the said show that gave him two Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series recognitions in 2012 and 2014.
"The feeling that I was having when I wrote this last season-I'm done writing it now-was just a very goofy feeling, a very playful feeling going into this season," the Mexican- American divulged about Louie's season 5 at the TCA (Television Critics Association)'s winter press.
On the note that the show will be go semi-dramatic as season 4 looked like to audience, C.K. dismissed the idea by comparing it to a ball game.
"It's not like I'm playing basketball and I want to play baseball. You can do both in the same court... I don't want to put it in either box," the stand-up, who's Louis C.K. Live From the Comedy Store show will also be broadcast by FX, commented.
Meantime, Louie will have a female-like version in the Adlon's show Better Things. The program, which Californication star co-write and produce, showcases the journey of Sam who has three daughters.
"If you think being a parent is hard, try raising three girls by yourself. In Better Things, Adlon plays Sam, a working actor trying to earn a living, navigate her daughters' lives, have fun with a friend or two, and also-just maybe-squeeze in some sex once in a while. Her life is funny to watch, but you wouldn't want to live it (except sometimes)," as stated in FX'show description.
