Kendrick Lamar's album should have been released today, according to reports that circulated a few days back, but it seems that fans may have to wait a little more before they can get hold of a copy. TDE says Wal-Mart was misinformed
The rumor began to get regarding the album release when Section Eighty posted a photo which showed a list of upcoming albums and their respective dates, reported Realty Today. Lamar's album was one of the lists that Wal-Mart had and it has since then went viral in various social media platforms.
Music Times warned the fans not to get too excited about the news since the source of the picture cannot really be verified and that release like this album usually would have it digital before the physical copies. They also think that Lamar wouldn't be the kind of artist who would have an exclusive release of his album with Wal-Mart.
However, this information was not confirmed either by Lamar or his record label Top Dawg Entertainment. In fact, TDE denied the issue on its official Twitter account, saying that Wal-Mart got the wrong information regarding the release date of Lamar's album.
According to Huffington Post, his album will be one of the highly anticipated albums of 2015. Lamar is currently busy performing in several music festivals to promote his album. This album would be the 3rd after the record's first single entitled 'i' released last year, wrote Realty Today.
Lamar's popularity in the music industry started when he signed up with TDE in 2004. He also had collaboration with Interscope Records and Aftermath in 2012. His first studio album 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' had very positive reviews from critics and more one of its songs managed to be in Top 40, reported the Inquistr.
With all these rumors welling up, there are actually good sources that suggest that Kendrick Lamar's album will be released very soon. This underground rapper will once again prove that he's an artist worth listening to.
