While Superman, Batman, Captain America and even Fantastic Four already see the green light, Peter Parker is not only can transform, but also seem to have like an identity crisis at the moment. It's still unclear if Andrew Garfield will wear the blue and red body hugging suit again or it's possible that Tobey Maguire comes back in the scene.
The hack on Sony's system put weight in the future of Andrew Garfield as Spider Man. In The Daily Beast's dissection of 8-page document they got, part of it revealed that executives of the company were actually contemplating to reboot the superhero movie and want to follow James Bond movies' style.
"In the next Spider-Man movies, we can't go back to his origin story. Think of the 25 films in the James Bond franchise; just because a new creative team comes aboard, and breathes new life into a classic property, doesn't mean the origin story has to be retold," an email message dated November 13, 2014 sent by Fosun-backed studio 8 head Jeff Robinov.
In the same report, it is said that Robinov suggested that they explore Spiderman as adult in their next reboot. He added that there were times that Peter even reimagined as a high school science teacher. With that matured 39-year old Maguire, who already did first Spiderman trilogy is a welcome idea for many.
Though the content of the message was an expose of spidey's film fate, Garfield remains a candidate unless Sony officially removed him. There are speculations that The Fault in Our Stars and Divergent actor Ansel Elgort and Drake Bell, voice actor in "Ultimate Spider-Man" are possible for the role. While the cast and story of next installment of Spider-Man are still in the clouds, an actress from The Amazing Spider Man 2 already expressed her wish to reprise her role in .
"She's such a great character in the comics. I mean if that happen that would be lovely. There are no plans but I would love to play her. She's an awesome female character," Felicity Jones shared in her interview with Clevver Movies .
