After the two seasons of "The Voice", finally Christina Aguilera comes back to her big red-rotating seat this 8th season of the singing competition by next month. However, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine aren't that happy about it. They want Gwen Stefani to stay.
According to Latin Post, the last season of the show was joined by No Doubt Vocalist Gwen Stefani, Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine, and "Happy" singer Pharell Williams. Inquisitr also cited that Aguilera had took a break from the two seasons. Thus, she was replaced by Stefani and Shakira hby one season each.
The same source also cited that Levine and Shelton would like Gwen to stay and would rather have her for the show. They even asked the producers to let Gwen remain for the season since they like the occuring dynamic between them. However, the producers didn't listened. For the part of the producers, they wanted Christina back to gain the popularity as Christina is considered controversial and can be a bit of a mean girl.
Shelton said, "They think Gwen is a little vanilla and the show's become too nice. Christina is more controversial and can be a bit mean girl, and that's the attitude that makes for a great TV."
Meanwhile, Christina will be on 64th NBA All-Star Game this 15th of February. As announced from the NBA's official site, the Grammy Award-winning icon Christina Aguilera will be set to perform on the said event.
She will be performing during the "Entertainment Series presented by JBL" at the Madison Square Garden where she will be joined by the legendary New York City dance troupe the Rockettes for a spectacular opening of the night.
Prior to Christina's performance, according to the same source, the Staten Island native will be taking the center stage for a New York-themed medley alongside the culminations with introductions of the 2015 NBA All-Stars. During the singer's set, the Rockettes will be dazzling the crowd with eye- high kicks and precision choreography.
Apart from Christina, another young singing diva Ariana Grande will also be performing during the event. She will headline the halftime show of the game.
