After leaving the air for a long winter break, the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." would soon be making a comeback in spring with a few of the cast members possessing superpowers beyond their control.
In the previous episode before the mid-season break, "What they Become," the series left fans the picture of a couple agents that were recently freed from their obelisk crystal traps and transformed them into super humans with seismic powers. Raina (Ruth Negga) and Skye (Chloe Bennet) had to face their new abilities head before it gets the best of them.
This transformation could be considered very delicate and could also endanger the two agents as what had happened to Agent Antoine Triplett (B.J. Britt) who got annihilated after being put it to such tremendous stress.
The mid-season finale also offered to fans something they had been wanting for a long time. As an adage would go good things come to those who wait; although Skye was still terrified with the powers she had just acquired, fans were thrilled with the what they saw and anticipated what would happen to the new super agent heroine.
In the previous episodes, fans would see Skye as the girl scout figure always ready to reach out her helping hand. However in the upcoming episode, "Aftershock," it would be Skye who would be calling and reaching out for help. Fans would also be curious who Skye would contact and ask help from first, since she had a strained relationship with her father.
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." or Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division followed the story of Phil Coulson and his team, an ensemble of elite covert agents, who would be battling threats in the city that was just currently recovering from the Battle of New York. The spring premiere would be airing on March 3rd.
