Ne-Yo Unleashes New Album ‘Non-Fiction’; Do His Songs Tell Real Stories as the Title Claims?

By

Ne-Yo has finally unraveled his sixth studio album 'Non-Fiction.' We'll now look into the album and see what Ne-yo has for his fans this time.

It's been two years since he released his fifth studio R.E.D. album. That's quite a long time before he released the next one, and this time around, he's got help from Schoolboy Q, Jeezy, Pitbull, T.I. and Juicy J., reported HipHopDX. Dr. Luke, Stargate, and Key Wayne, among others also contributed to the album.

Here's what he said to ABC News about the album, as reported by HipHopDX.

"I know that the reason I'm still here, ten years later is because of my fans," he said. "I wanted to tell my story but I also wanted to tell their story...We're telling the truth. It's quality music, at the end of the day."

What are some of the things we can learn about 'Non-Fiction'? Complex cited some of the things that make it really interesting like the disclaimer it made about the whole thing being fiction, yet it also claims that the story telling is from real people with real experiences.

"the story you're about to hear is complete fiction . . . it is, however, made up of a group of stories, true stories, about real people . . . going through real things."

One of the notable songs in this album would be 'She Knows' which featured Juicy J.

"This track is dedicated to the kind of strong, confident woman who demands attention when she walks in the room. All you can think of is, 'yeah she knows.' She knows she is beautiful. She knows all eyes are on her. She knows how to command the room," explains NE-YO. "Dr. Luke's production is incredible and J brings his club swag to the track. No matter what the song is about, he can always take the subject matter home," reported Broadway World.

It took Ne-Yo two years to treat his fans with another album. The last one was not only successful in sales but critics also gave it a positive review. Do you think Ne-Yo's 'Non-Fiction' will be another treasure in the music world?
