'Mass Effect 4' Xbox One, PS4, PC Release Date: Rumor Suggests Q2 2016 Launch; 'Frostbite 3' Engine to Create Incredible Graphics, Massive Features and Other Details Unveiled

A new fan theory on Mass Effect 4 release date surfaced online rooting from a member of NeoGAF named Shinobi602 claimed that he's absolutely confident that the arrival of the new main title to ME franchise will happen second quarter of 2016.

Shinobi602 wrote in a Neogaf post that the new 'Mass Effect' game would be massive.

He's quoted as saying, "Massive in terms of size/scale, that's all. Yeah, 'optimistic' but not unlikely or anything, it could very well be ready by Q2 2016, the date's still not set even internally. There were about 50 or so devs on the game around when DAI shipped, that's since quadrupled in number. That new build Gamble was talking about was a big milestone related to that. Doubling down on one single engine (Frostbite) across all the studios is a huge advantage,"

"They're making it the best game it can be, it'll be worth the wait...It's 100% coming next year," he added.

After the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition that is already got out of the way, over 200 people now are reportedly working on the new installment reaching stages of full production.

As to the Mass effect 4 gameplay, it won't be entirely different from its predecessor games. Game producer Michael Gamble has confirmed that the six wheeled reconnaissance vehicle, Mako, from the first title but dropped in Mass effect 2 and 3, will return in part 4.

"We're playing around with a bunch of different physics for the Mako," Gamble reportedly stated. The thing that we have to do is make sure it's as responsive as possible. We've learned a thing or two over the years. In terms of customization, it's been something that we've been looking at for sure, because we feel as though if you're going to be spending a lot of time in vehicles in places, they should reflect you as a player."

It is also cited by Gamble that the game will be using EA's Frostbite 3 engine that Bioware admired constantly by saying that their developers have never been able to create incredibly real-looking characters. Co-op features will also be a major feature based on what Gamble said that, while competitive multiplayer is vital, "co-operation is bigger for us."

Reportedly, Bioware is targeting for a 2016 Mass Effect 4 release date speculated to happen around late next year just like the similar time frame that Dragon Age: Inquisition was shipped in 2014.
