It's February! And Dancing With The Stars Season 20 is closing in on its premiere date with an anticipated announcement late this month of the pros that will be returning followed closely by exciting reveals of celebrity dancers who will be competing for the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy in spring 2015 series.
It's unofficial report yet, but Kristyn Burtt of AfterBuzz TV said she believes that the most awaited announcement of casts will happen on Tuesday, February 24 on Good Morning America. She tweeted, "The 23rd is reserved for GMA Oscars coverage only. The 24th should be DWTS GMA reveal."
Pro Emma Slater previously stated that celebrity dancers likely know who will be their pro partners only a few days before the rest of them do.
During the preview of DWTS tour date at the Saenger Theater with Witney Carson and Alfonso Ribeiro in New Orleans, pro Emma Slater dropped some intel for the upcoming anniversary series.
Slater was asked by a reporter if she's returning amid rumors spreading online about which of the pros may or may not be returning.
She answered the question indirectly by saying, "Actually, we will find that out very shortly and we can't wait to tell you guys, and give you some information. But what we can tell you is that Season 20 is going to be the biggest and most impressive season of Dancing With The Stars ever. So you have to watch it. It's going to be huge. There's going to be initiative."
As far casting is concerned, the likes of Roseanne Barr and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. are rumored to join the 10th anniversary season including Football star Russell Wilson who vowed to dance with Karina Smirnoff if Seattle Seahawks will be the champion of the Super Bowl.
Past seasons' regular pros like Val Chmerkovskiy, Tony Dovolani, and Sharna among others are reported to be returning.Rumors have it that newer pros like Allison Holker and Keo Motsepe may also return. Tom Bergeson and Erin Andrews will be returning as hosts of the show.
