Star Wars world will open again for the seventh time and it going to happen on December 18. With little information available about Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, left and right rumors are spreading around on what's to expect on this installment of the epic space film franchise. Disney CEO Bob Iger, however, gave away his plans not only for episode 7 but also for episode 8 and 9.
Metro reported that Disney's top executive did share that there are two more Star Wars movies coming in after Episode 7. The site also quoted Iger's promise that a decade of wait for another sequel is worth it.
"As one of the few people allowed to visit the set during filming....and one of the fewer who's seen most of the footage...I can assure the millions of Star Wars fans who have spent the last decade hoping for a new movie this one will be worth the wait.
"And it's only the beginning of a new era of exceptional Star Wars storytelling; next year we'll release our first standalone movie based on these characters, followed by Star Wars: Episode VIII in 2017, and we'll finish this trilogy with Episode IX in 2019," Iger's statement seen by Star Wars Underworld.
In George Lucas' creation, a lot of aliens introduced especially in its original film showed in 1977 and 1980. Remember Jabba the Hutt, the slug-like creature? According to Inquisitr's report this big boss will possibly one of the cast members of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
The report mentioned that there's a claim that Star Wars director J.J. Abrams had Hutts like props on Star Wars 7's shooting place. In addition to that, there's a rumor about an artwork that described Princess Leia's encounter with Hutts.
