The Barden Bellas are back in 'Pitch Perfect 2', a follow-up to its 2012 unexpected hit. The comedy sequel gave their fans a peek on what to expect in their new trailer played before Katy Perry's halftime performance in Super Bowl XLIX last Sunday.
It was reported by US Magazine that Pitch Perfect 2 was one of the most talked trailers played during commercial break as part of the Super Bowl pregame.
The latest crazy trailer of Pitch Perfect 2- Official Super Bowl Spot was already posted on YouTube last February 1, 2015.
The 40-seconder trailer features women partying and practicing as Fat Amy (Wilson) says to her singing friends, "Guys, there's gonna be some haters out there. They're gonna look at us - Team USA - and be like, 'Why is the most talented one Australian?'"
The following clips highlight the Barden Bellas facing off against Green Bay Packers, who are busting out their rendition of Destiny's Child "Bootylicious", in an international competition.
"Whoo, I could be the ham in that man's sandwich," Fat Amy comments, feeling uneasy.
Meanwhile, it was reported that this comeback is expected to hit bigger, after its unexpected success last 2012, which grossed more than $113 million worldwide on a $17 million budget. Considering also the DVD sales and the soundtrack, it was really huge success.
The movie will reunite the original casts including Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow and others. They will continue their a capella journey outside the university and will showcase an athletic note, as shown in its latest trailer.
Moreover, Popsugar reported that Haileey Steinfield and Chrissie Fit are joining the cast. The Filharmonics, an all-male acapella group, are also included in this film.
