Fans of the famous Supergirl are all excited when news broke out that their favorite super heroine will again be in action as she fights and combats her enemies. Melissa Benoist will be Kara Zor-El, the new version of Supergirl. Kara will be playing sweet music together with James "Jimmy" Olsen played by the 34 year old actor, Mehcad Brooks.
DC Comics and DC Entertainment have disclosed that Supergirl will be back on the screen this year. However, they are still uncertain if it would be a 30 minute or 1 hour series. The action TV series will not only be an action pack movie. It also features the other side of the coin as Kara plays sweet music together with James "Jimmy" Olsen. Jimmy is the photographer of Catco, the media company where Kara is working as the assistant of Cat Grant. Both Mehcad and Melissa will give their viewers the lighter and romantic side of life as James or Jimmy plays the knight in the Shining armor of Supergirl.
After escaping Krypton, Kara Zor-El, cousin of the super famous Superman, landed on Planet Earth where she has decided to live a normal life. Kara has concealed her real identity for a long time. However, as what people say "a hero will always be a hero", and since it is already in her blood to help and serve the people, Kara has decided to come out of her shell. Kara is now more determined to face all the challenges as Supergirl who's willing to save planet Earth.
The executive producers and scriptwriters of Supergirl are Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Arrow) and Ali Adler (Glee, The New Normal). Reports have also claimed that Geoff Johns, DC Chief creative officer, will also have an active participation in making the TV series.
