'Vampire Diaries' star Ian Somerhalder and 'Twilight' actress Nikki Reed certainly shocked fans when they announced that they were engaged after a brief whirlwind romance. The news certainly came as a shock for Ian's ex and 'Vampire Diaries' co-star, Nina Dobrev. Is Nina still upset over Ian and Nikki getting engaged?
Reports are suggesting that Nina is not speaking to Ian while on the set of 'The Vampire Diaries'. According to Hollywood Life, Ian had recently made his directorial debut on the series, and it would have panned out really well if Nina was being more cooperative. Sources suggest that Nina was being borderline "mean" to her ex, and would not listen to his instructions.
"Nina was acting cold towards Ian on set," said a source. "Nina was kinda mean to Ian. He was directing her and moving her around and she would barely answer him."
While Nina has been keeping a brave face, and maintaining a calm attitude when it comes to questions regarding Ian and Nikki, it seems that the star can only take so much.
Nina doesn't seem to approve of Nikki Reed. The star made it apparent when she took to her Instagram and posted this message on January 30. The incriminating message seems targeted at Nikki!
The message read: "Why don't you tell me that 'if the girl had been worth having, she'd have waited for you?' no sir, the girl really worth having won't wait for anybody,' by F. Scott Fitzgerald."
There were also rumors that Nikki was being paranoid over Ian and Nina working on set because she fears Ian might cheat on her. These were confirmed to be false rumors.
Somerhalder and Reed have happily settled into a domestic partneship, and have even adpoted horses and a kitten, as well.
"We love our animals so much," said Reed. "Since the time I could walk, I was doing all these fosters, rehabs, and rescues. My mom and I have done this together, and it was natural to continue it."
