Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have been taking their feud to an all-time high during the last few months. The frenemies have been dissing each other back and forth for quite some time now, and it doesn't seem like either one of them will be stopping anytime soon.
The 'Roar' singer was recently featured in the March 2015 issue of 'Elle' magazine. The porcelain skinned performer looked flawless in the cover shoot. When asked about her frenemy, T-Swift, Katy seemed to be calling a 'truce' with her frenemy, and even called her a 'princess'.
"You've got to name someone the villain, someone the princess, someone the mom-, the dad-type-you know there always have to be characters. As pop figures, we're all characters. And the media uses that. Who is the sweetheart, who is the villain? You know. Taylor's the sweetheart. [Kanye West's] the villain. That's the narrative," Katy said in the Elle magazine interview.
But does Katy's 'compliment' hide a veiled diss? Fans are speculating that Katy isn't actually complimenting the 'Shake it off' singer, but is actually hiding a very sneaky insult.
"Notice she said that is the narrative, not her thoughts, she actually really thinks the complete opposite. Katy was at a Kanye concert on Saturday because she respects him as a person and an artist, she will not be at aTaylor Swift concert, she doesn't like her at all," said a source for Hollywood Life.
"Katy wishes that people would see the reality of people and not what the media has made them out to be, Taylor is no princess in Katy's eyes. Never will be, feud is still alive and well." the source continued.
On the other hand, Taylor also wants payback time. After all, Taylor has been notorious to always get the last say on things. She will certainly not take this sitting down.
"Taylor is going to take the high road when it comes to Facebook, Twitter, or other social media," a source exclusively revealed. "[Taylor] will get Katy back, but she will do it via music video or other high-profile situation. Taylor wants the last laugh." said a source.
On the other hand, Katy Perry might also take their feud up a notch by taking it all the way to The Grammys! Katy had subtly dissed Taylor by dressing up in a polka-dot high-waisted bikini during her performance at The Super Bowl. This is Tay's "go-to swimwear". What does she have cooked up for The Grammys? Only time will tell.
