5 Seconds of Summer's fans can thank Calum Hood for his tweets lately. The band's bass player and vocalist disclosed some details of their upcoming album. However, the 19-year old musician also sparked controversy due to his viral photo captured at a gasoline station around Wet & Wild Sydney's west.
Just few days after his 19th birthday, fellow member of Michael Clifford, Luke Hemmings, and Ashton Irwin earned criticism due to his deemed dangerous move. Hood pictured bonding with a friend at a gasoline station, but he's smoking while loading fuel to his friend's car.
"Petrol is a volatile, highly flammable liquid that gives off vapours. It's important to never smoke, light a match or stub a cigarette out, especially around pumps or fuel containers. You also shouldn't leave cigarettes burning in your car's ashtray," according to BP.
Meantime, 5 Seconds of Summer gamely joined Jimmy Kimmel Live's Mean Tweets Sketch together with renowned artists Drake and Josh Groban. For those unfamiliar with the segment, guest artists will read random unpleasant tweets about them.
5 Seconds of Summer's read "I'd rather bathe in my own vomit than go see 5 seconds of summer on tour." Though Calum frowns initially, the boys laugh at the idea, perhaps they see lot of people during their tours especially with 'Rock Out With Your Socks Out.'
This February 25, 5SOS will be performing in Akasana Blitz - Tokyo, Japan before going to Europe in May for their 'Rock Out With Your Socks Out' tour.
Speaking of Social Media, Calum is surely one of the stars using Twitter to give updates about him or the band. Recently, he eagerly shares to their fans about his new compositions.
"Wrote 2 songs at the end of last year with @JohnFeldy and theyre easily my favourite we've ever written. So excited for this next record!!"
