"Tekken 7" will hit Japanese arcades this February and fans are all excited to see and play their favorite characters in the whole Tekken franchise. Bandai Namco has just recently launched its official website and the current character roster was also posted. Katsuhiro Harada revealed that more characters are going to join the current list.
Bandai Namco has just launched the Official Website for Tekken 7 and it revealed a lot of details for its Japanese Arcade launch this February. It also revealed that there are only twenty characters that will be joining the King of Iron Fist Tournament in the latest Tekken game. Among these are the old characters including Kazuya, Heihachi, Lars, Asuka, Lili, Alisa, Xiaoyu, Feng, Paul, Marshall Law, Steve, Leo, Hwoarang, King, Dragunov, and Bryan. The four new characters to join "Tekken 7" are Claudio, Katarina, Lucky Chloe and Shaheen.
Fans who have played the previous Tekken games will notice that there are a lot of characters who were left out in the current roster of "Tekken 7" characters. This includes fan-favorites like Lei Wulong, Bob, Julia Chang, William Sisters, Panda, Christie Montero, Craig Marduk, Raven, Yoshimitsu and Jin Kazama.
However, Katsuhiro Harada, the game director, revealed that there might be more characters that will join the current list of "Tekken 7" characters. When one of his fans asked him on twitter on whether there will be more characters, Harada replied with a simple but affirmative "Yep." But when he was asked for Tekken 7 release date on the consoles, the game director did not give any definite date and said that "It's secret."
According to a recent report, Tekken 7 will have its pre-launch of its arcade version in selected arcade centers in Japan on February 18, 2015. The full arcade is set on mid-March and it will be a simultaneous release in all over Japan. The game will also be available on Evo 2015 this July 17-19, 2015. Fans can expect that the game will be ready for release on PS 4 and Xbox One after the tournament.
"Tekken 7" will be released this February on Japanese Arcades. Fans can expect it to hit the next-gen console later this year after the events in Evo 2015.
