"Tekken 7" will be released this February in Japanese Arcades. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One console release is set while PC format is still being deliberated by Namco Bandai, the game developer.
A pre-launch model of "Tekken 7" will be arriving on Super Nova Fukushima in Japan according to a recent report. The first format for the upcoming fighting game will be an old school arcade machine while the full version will arrive on March.
Even though Japanese Gamers will be the first to play "Tekken 7", Bandai Namco plans to bring them to North America in the upcoming tournament at EVO 2015. It was reported that "Tekken 7" tournament will be the first time in over 10 years of EVO to use arcade machines. EVO or Evolution Championship Series is an esport event for fighting games and it has been using home consoles in their tournaments in their annual conference.
"Tekken 7" will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this year and there are reports that it will be hitting the next-gen consoles after EVO 2015. There are reports that Tekken 7 development team will be focusing their work in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after the game's release in arcade this February. A source states that the game will run on 1080p running on 60fps for the next-gen consoles and a PC version is also being considered.
However, Katsuhiro Harada tweeted that gamers should not pressure him in releasing the game on PC. He said that "Don't rush me. Tekken is not development by PC base. It's Develop by Playstation Native. also we don't have Tekken community on PC now. RT @raiden_gaiden"
Admittedly, Harada said that it will be "cool" to have a PC version of Tekken 7 but PC gamers should stop nagging him for a PC port. Bandai Namco must plan well before expanding their Tekken community in PC.
"Tekken 7" will be initially released in Japanese arcade on February 18. Stay tuned for more update on its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release date!
