After his involvement in last Saturday's horrific crash that killed one woman, Bruce Jenner now seems to be getting involved even more. Lawyers are now into the complex turn of events that started out with a vehicular accident along a Malibu highway.
The LA Times reports that while Jenner was driving his Cadillac Escalade SUV towing a trailer that carried an off-road vehicle, a Lexus sedan in front of him suddenly crashed into a Toyota Prius that slowed down or stopped. This caused Jenner's Cadillac Escalade to rear-end the Lexus sending the sedan to the opposite lane of the road and colliding head-on to an oncoming Hummer SUV. The driver of the Lexus, Kim Howe, died on the scene of the crash as mentioned in an article by The Daily Mail.
Initial reports speculated that Jenner was using his mobile phone and texting when the accident happened but several pictures revealed that he was holding what looked like a cigarette during the crash and not a mobile phone. Authorities obtained search warrants for the phone records of everyone involved to further check if they were indeed using their phones when the vehicle pile-up happened.
Bruce Jenner took and passed a field sobriety test and even offered blood samples for further testing if he was whether driving under the influence or not. Since the accident claimed the life of one victim, a case of vehicular manslaughter is a strong possibility to be filed against anyone proven to be involved and has been using their mobile phones during the crash. Later on, Bruce Jenner's publicist announced that Jenner was not using his mobile phone during the crash and that he even called the event "a devastating tragedy".
Because of the possibility of such a case being filed, Bruce Jenner will be definitely need legal assistance as much and as early as he can. A news article from TMZ mentioned that Jenner was seen leaving the Blair Berk law offices in West Hollywood. A post by Mirror.co says that the District Attorney's office will look into all of this and review everything after the L.A. County Sheriff's Department has completed the investigation.
