Ryan Reynolds is making sure that his baby girl is safe-even if that means to sacrifice his wife Blake Lively.
"It's amazing. When we had that baby, I fell more in love with my wife than I ever had in my entire life. I used to say to her, 'I would take a bullet for you. I could never love anything as much as I love you'," quoted Cambio in his interview with David Letterman.
"I would say that to my wife," he continued. "And the second I looked in that baby's eyes, I knew in that exact moment that if we were ever under attack, I would use my wife as a human shield to protect that baby."
The 'Mississippi Grind' star seems really enthralled with the idea that he's already a father to an adorable baby girl. In his appearance in 'Live with Kelly and Michael,' Reynolds shared that he enjoys watching his baby being fed even on late nights, reported People.
"If anything else woke up every 45 minutes during the night demanding to see my wife's breasts, you kill it," he jokes. "[But with] a baby, you're like, 'Wahoo!'"
The 27-year-old-actor, together with his Blake, 27, admits that those sleepless nights are all worth it.
"I'm happily not getting any sleep. These days, I think of blinking as taking tiny little naps all day," he shares. "It's what you do - you're up all night. What's weird is you're happy about it in a strange way."
Of course, Reynolds never failed to recognize the very vital role that his wife plays in order to ensure best for the baby, reported Just Jared-and he had plenty of wonderful things to say about his wife.
"I'm just a diaper-changing facility hooked up to a life-support system, but my wife - she's breakfast, lunch, and dinner," Ryan added with a smile. "She's a human Denny's all day long. And it never ends for her. She's the most beautiful Denny's you've ever seen though, I'm sure of it."
Words may not be enough for Ryan Reynolds to express his euphoria with the coming of his little angel into their lives. Blake Lively must be really proud of this doting father, and even if he would sacrifice her for the sake of the baby, she would be more than willing to do it because she may also know he will be that big shield in front of them.
