HTC has been known for its gorgeous smartphones thus the expectations for the HTC One M9. While the previous models have been smaller than the ones made by other manufacturers, the company is also trying to attract customers with features not available on other devices. However, it seems that the company is going large with on their next HTC flagship phone. According to rumors, HTC may have to do away with the small screen size and create something that is comparable to that of LG's or Samsung's.
As of the moment, rumors and leaks of HTC One M9 and One M9 Plus have been spreading. Apparently, HTC is trying to imitate Apple by working on two flagship phone variations almost at the same time. Recent photos suggest that the standard M9 would have a 5" body, while the other would measure 5.5".
More rumors have surrounded the next HTC flagship phone. While only two variations were leaked at the moment, some would suggest that there may be three or more variants. The two leaked versions of the M9 is said to have an all-metal enclosure. The images shown seems to connect with previous rumors that lead to a 5-inch One M9 and a bigger 5.5-inch variant.
Aside from the body build, the One M9 may also be having a dual camera, which was available on the HTC One M8. The hardware should be a regular Toshiba 20-megapixel sensor.
So far, only the external specs have been leaked but not much of One M9's internal features. Nevertheless, HTC is already preparing the device for its unveiling at the MWC on March 1.
The next HTC flagship phone series still has to go through a number of tight spots before it can be finally released. This is because Samsung seems to have realized that design is very essential and will that it will compete with HTC in terms of their core strength area. Aside from this there are also a several Chinese smartphones on the market which HTC would have some difficulty gaining sales lead. Nevertheless, the company seems to have done away with their past gimmicks and decided to play even on the smartphone market with other manufacturers.
