"Beauty and the Beast" is expected to show more mysteries and romance. The CW has officially renewed the series to Season 4, meantime, and is four months ahead of the show's Season 3.
TV Guide spoiled fans that as Season 3 begins, the booming romance between Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) takes center stage after they are finally free from Muirfield, manhunts and beasts. However, their love will be tested as new most dangerous threats await them.
Furthermore, they will uncover together a scheme that involves innocents being "used to test the boundaries of the impossible." This situation will terribly bother Vincent because he will only be able to fight the said conspiracy by "turning to the beast he carries within."
In addition to the report, the fan favorite drama's Season 3 will debut on May 21 at 8 p.m. with 13 episodes, continue aiming to bolster the little-watched summer season. Season four will air later in the 2015-16 season.
It was also reported that 'Beauty and the Beast' becomes the latest series to score an early pickup. The CW handed early renewals to all eight of its current scripted series scheduled for next year - "Arrow," "The Flash," "Jane the Virgin," "Reign," "Supernatural," "The 100," "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals."
Meanwhile, co-executive producer Stuart Gillard said via twitter last February 14 that 'Beauty and the Beast' Season 4 starts filming in June, while Season 3 premieres May. "What a Valentine present S 4!! You #beasties did it. You never gave up! We will start shooting around June.keep you posted #batb"
Previously, CW president Mark Pedowitz told reporters at the Television Critics Association in January that he was dedicated to planning a big summer scripted expansion and the renewal of season three of 'BATB' last May was a great initiative.
'Beauty And The Beast' is executive produced by Brad Kern, Bill Haber, Paul J. Witt, Tony Thomas, Ron Koslow, Frank Siracusa and John Weber, with Sherri Cooper & Jennifer Levin as consultants.
