So finally Johnny Depp and his girlfriend, Amber Heard, exchanged vows in a private wedding last 3rd of February this year in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor's private island in the Bahamas. Despite rumors of breakup just two months ago, a recent report claims that Depp was able to guilt Heard into marrying him using his mother's failing health.
If there would be a finest place to wed, that would be in the Bahamas. Obviously, not everybody can have their dream wedding in the paradise, but not so with Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. After all, the actor owns a 45-acre mini Island with 6 private beaches which he named after his children, reported FT News.
Although the couple decided to make the wedding very private, inviting only family members and close friends, the ceremony was still star-studded with Steven Tyler, Marily Manson, Helena Bonham Carter, and Tim Burton in attendance.
The guests definitely shared a lavish and extravagant celebration with the couple, reported People.
"Johnny's private island is a tropical paradise. Wedding guests were treated to an amazing weekend that ended with a romantic beach ceremony," an insider said.
"Guests relaxed on the beaches, had fun snorkeling and enjoyed food cooked by private chefs. Everyone seemed to have the best time. It was a very celebratory vibe."
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Amber Heard already gave Johnny Depp an ultimatum regarding his drinking problems, threatening him that if he could get himself to sober up, no wedding is going to happen. Although the actor is far from being sober-in fact, he made a mess of himself during the Hollywood Film Awards-somehow his tactic really worked well.
So, what made Amber Heard change her mind? Citing Life & Style magazine, CDL reported that it was the ailing mother of Johnny Depp, Betty Sue, who convinced Heard to marry the tipsy actor.
"He convinced Amber to have a small ceremony at their LA home, just to get the legal part out of the way. More importantly the nuptials were done with Johnny's mom Betty Sue in mind. She's too frail to travel; she couldn't make it to their destination wedding on Little Hall's Pond Cay."
Do you think Johnny Depp really used his mother's poor condition to make Amber Heard go for the wedding? Is this going to be the last wedding that Johnny Depp will have? Share us your thoughts.
