A tweet from BioWare's Senior Development Director for "Mass Effect" hinted gamers for the progress of the next "Mass Effect" game which is rumored to release by 2016. The game developers already began working for the massive single-player mode for "Mass Effect 4" as BioWare searching for gameplay online producer.

A promise, given by the game developer to the gamers that "Mass Effect 4," will remain a single-player mode was confirmed through his responses to the fans' tweets. According to IBT, this new game will be in a "massive" single-player mode though a lot of people wanted to have a multiplayer component in the game.

Instead of continuing the success of the multiplayer mode, since the previous "Mass Effect 3" was deviated with its addictive horde-based multiplayer mode, the game developers wanted to focus on a more cooperative mode rather than mainly competitive.

With the multiplayer mode, gamers can team up with friends and fight against the enemy forces, plus they can do unlock new abilities, increase ranks and at the same time gain access to weapons. From the Senior Development Director of BioWare Chris Wynn's tweets, he mentioned that they are looking for someone to spearhead the creative vision for the multiplayer mode in "Mass Effect 4" since many gamers wished to have a multiplayer mode of the game, too.

Reportedly, the game studio is looking for an "excellent" gameplay online producer to help shape the next game [Mass Effect]. "Things are getting real now and I need an excellent Producer to come shape online for the next Mass Effect," Wynn said.

In spite the fans' wishes, he responded to focus on the single player mode. Reports cited that the studio started to work on the cooperative mode instead since recently, BioWare unfortunately cannot expand the well-received multiplayer for the next installments or go for an online gameplay for the Mass Effect franchise based from iDigital Times.

"If anyone is concerned that online will take away from single player, I assure you that SP will be massive in the next Mass Effect ... I promise and will even pinky swear," Wynn said in response to a fan.

On the other hand, Jay Watamaniuk, BioWare writer also tweeted about the company meeting which highlights its remarkable outcome that hints the development of the game. "Amazing @bioware studio meeting today. Lots of wonderful Dragon Age and Mass Effect content. I'm so proud to be part of this," he tweeted.

With the visuals of the game, it was also cited that the game will maintain the "visual fidelity" which BioWare promises to players since the team are working on the Frostbyte 3 engine.

Meanwhile, as cited in IGN, Mass Effect 4 is the working titled for Mass Effect Universe and it would be the first game for the next generation of consoles. Since its set in the universe, players expect that the entire game will be taking place in a whole new area of space. They can also expect "core features" shared with Dragon Age: Inquisition which means that the systems working in the background will be similar with each other. However, the combat, dialogue and others will stay unique.

The same site source also noted that BioWare will not star Commander Shephard, who starred the original trilogy of games based from the earlier announcements.

"Mass Effect 4" is expected to be available in PS4, Xbox One, and PC by 2016 though there is no confirmed exact date of release as of now.
