'The Voice' Season 8 Premiere: Judges talk about show’s objectives; Mentors spoofs Taylor Swift’s gift-giving act

By

In less than a week, we are about to witness the Season 8 of The Voice. In recent reports, we all know that the judges would be Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera. With that line up, this is definitely going to be war.

According to source, NBC's President of Alternative and Late Night Programming mentioned that we can expect that the mentoring of these four judges would be extreme. That's definitely something to watch out for knowing that these artists are the crème de la crème within their respective genres.

If you can remember, Aguilera had to miss few seasons of The Voice as she was on maternity leave. Now that she's back, did you know that she has a nursery on set just so she can be with her little baby? She loves being a mom that she gives parental advise to her co-mentors, a report revealed. We are loving Aguilera even more!

Williams, on the other hand, defended the show on why it hasn't produced a household name like what American Idol does. He said that this is not the point of The Voice and that their aim is to discover new talents. He has a valid point there. The Voice is a talent show with a heart.

Meanwhile, Shelton and Levine are really crazy! Recently, they tried to imitate Taylor Swift's video where the singer gave gifts to her fans. The Voice's coaches did the same but of course, with some twists. It's really a successful spoof and definitely a great ice breaker for the upcoming season of 'The Voice'. You can watch the video clip from here.

I know that you can't wait to witness who's going to make the chairs turn. Who are the next talented singers we should all watch out for? The Voice Season 8 premieres this coming February 23. Don't forget to pump up your TV's volume.
