Drake's Record-Breaking Album ‘If You're Reading This It's Too Late’ Surprise Release Surpasses Own History on Spotify

For the record, Drake's 'Nothing Was the Same' was the most streamed album in a debut week on Spotify in 2013 with 15.8 million score. However, that a past issue now as there's new record-breaking album that outdo it with better figure and that's no other Drake's new album 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late.'

True to its title 'If You're Reading This It's Too Late' album blasts so fast that without further promotion it hit big time on Spotify, a music streaming service. The said music project was only debuted on Friday, but in a span of three days it already got over 17.3 hits, as reported by Billboard. The music media also added that Drake's latest offering is also the most streams in a single day in U.S. for reaching 6.8 million hits on Valentine's Day.

With mixed news about Drake lately and confusion that he may also drop 'Views From the 6,' but the Toronto rapper did a successful surprise attack for his album that contains 17 songs. In fact, there's still questioning if it's considered an album like 'Nothing Was the Same' or follow up of his early mixtape 'So Far Gone.'

According to Vulture, Drake made a last minute decision to labelled it as an album instead of mixtape in order to escape from the Cash Money Records' claws. Drake got a 4-album contract with the recording company that his fellow rapper 'Lil Wayne suing in court and complaining on Twitter. Incidentally, Lil Wayne is part of this album like PartyNextDoor, and Travi$ Scott.

On the other hand, the release of If You're Reading, which also has a bonus track ' 6PM in New York,' coincided with the launched of his 14-minute short film entitled ' Jungle.' There's also report that 'Views From the 6' will also be release within this year and it's going to be album type too.
