John Stewart from DC Comic's Green Lantern may be cast in Justice League new movie, Universe

Hands-on fans and enthusiast of the DC comics have for years, tried to forget about their dream movie series of the Green Lantern and just opt for animated versions of the comics. Green Lantern made headlines again.

It was first when Tyrese Gibson of Fast & Furious 7, acknowledged his interest of playing the role of John Stewart in the movie. Then Arrow's David Ramsey confirmed that his John Diggle character was asked or discussed for playing the role of John Stewart in the movie.

However, Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently denied that. Saying Green Lantern's John Stewart in the Universe movie is not yet a plan for them.

For fans, this news is not new, as DC Comics have done this before, for bringing anticipation and excitement to fans only for diverting the attention from the failed Green Lantern movie led by Ryan Reynolds.

Fans though feel unfair for these, as for them, John Stewart, just alone for himself, is already a star.

John Stewart may have been just a supporting character to Hal Jordan in DC's Green Lantern, but that will be a different case for a DC fan. Stewart is the first name they'll recite upon hearing Green Lantern.

John Stewart, in the DC comics, is a former architect, social activist, and U.S. Marine sniper. He was selected by the Guardians of the Universe to be one of the Green Lanterns for Sector 2814. His distinguished service in the Corps landed him a place among the Oan Honor Guard and became the chief trainer for new Lantern recruits.

The first movie series, which has not turned out well, was led by actor Ryan Reynolds, playing Hal Jordan. But for most reviews, Ryan Reynolds failed to give justice to the character on the big screen. Now fans demand the producer for a new plan, if ever it decide to release a sequel.

Admittedly, a John Stewart-led Green Lantern film would still keep many of the film elements intact, all character comes with qualities and history in their own. And sure enough, the writers will always come up with an idea on how to keep things more exciting than just the usual.
