‘Power Rangers Mighty Morphin’ New Movie Reboot revealed by Green Ranger himself: Story Plot will stick to canon

"Power Rangers Mighty Morphin" reboot will be produced by Lionsgate Films. However the film producer has been silent in the past few months since it announced the said project. Fans were worrying if the reboot project still has a green light since there were no new reports on its development. Thankfully Jason David Frank, The Green Power Ranger actor, revealed some details on the upcoming film.

According to a recent report, Jason David Frank was interviewed in LIVE Radio broadcasted by Madison's 97 WKLO radio. Some fans asked him several questions about the Power Rangers movie reboot and they were thrilled by his answer. According to the actor, the plot for the upcoming movie reboot will be based on the original TV series. This was also confirmed by its creator Haim Saban who announced that they are going to stick to the canon for the upcoming "Power Rangers Mighty Morphin " movie.

However, the Green Ranger clarified that there won't be a reunion of cast in the upcoming reboot. Fans will remember that there have been some unfortunate events on the original Power Rangers members, which are as follows:

  • Skylar Deleon, who portrayed Roger in the original TV series, was convicted of Murder and subsequently sentenced to death last April 2009;
  • Eric Frank, who played the role of David Trueheart died last April 2011 due to a heart illness;
  • Richard Genelle, who starred as Ernie, the advisor of the Power Rangers, died of a heart failure at the age of 47 last 2008;
  • Bob Manahan, who is Zordon in the original series, died due to a heart attack last June 2000.
  • Thuy Thang, who played the Yellow Ranger, died in a fatal car accident last September 2001 at age 27.

Up until now, the upcoming reboot movie does not have an official cast yet but Lionsgate films are busy in the production of the much awaited movie adaptation reboot of the TV hit series during the 90s.

"Power Rangers Mighty Morphin " reboot still has a long way to go before it starts its filming. But fans can still be glad that Lionsgate Films are doing its best to get their favorite 90s TV series on the silver screen. Stay in tune for more updates on its cast, plot and trailers!
