This coming March 2015, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) will take place in Barcelona, Spain. It is on the said event will the Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini be unveiled to the public for the first time. Many are anticipating how this smartphone would match Apple's very own Iphone 6. How are they different? And how are they alike?
Price-wise, Samsung's new phone would be approximately £400 upon release. The Iphone 6 on the other hand had its release September last year and had amounted to £ 539. Samsung is wallet friendly when it comes to this aspect.
The Samsung Galaxy s6 mini is said to have a 4.7 inch full- HD (1920 x 1080) and the screen has a pixel density of 468 ppi. Iphone 6 also has a 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 1334x750 and has a pixel density of 301 ppi.
Iphone has an A8 processor with M8 motion co-processor, 1 GB RAM, and 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB built in storage which is generally faster compared to S6 mini's snapdragon 810 64-bit octa core chip but less practical than S6 mini's 2GB RAM and 16GB built-in storage with micro SD card slot.
Iphone is built with metal and glass while S6 mini is built with half-metal and half-plastic materials. Both phones almost offer the same color options except for the electric blue which Samsung only offers.
If you like taking pictures, then it's your prerogative to choose between the cameras of these phones. Samsung has a 5Mp front camera and 16 Mp rear camera while Iphone 6 has a 12Mp front camera and 8 Mp rear cam.
We also need to take note of the software of each phones. Samsung runs with its new OS, the Android 5.0 Lollipop while Iphone runs on Apple iOS 8. So it would be a matter of your preference.
Other features of both smartphones include Fingerprint sensor. This feature is for those people who like to keep their privacy. Samsung however offers an extra UV scanner and heart rate monitor.
Well, it may be too early to conclude since Samsung has not released yet its Galaxy s6 mini but let us wait for the unveiling before we choose what we like best.
