It's a great year for Jamie Dornan. He's about to get married and he recently sent cinema houses into flames for his latest "performance" in the movie '50 Shades of Gray." Netflix just recently "booked" the actor and acquired exclusive rights to Dornan's upcoming new war drama movie, Jadotville.

The new movie is scheduled to begin production this coming April. It is based on the siege of Jadotville, true events that happened during 1961 between Irish U.N. Battalions and 3,000 Congolese troops lead by French and Belgian mercenaries. Dornan plays the role of Commander Patrick Quinlan who leads the group against French Commander played by Guillaume Canet. It is an impossible war for the Irish knowing that they were greatly outnumbered by their foes. The movie will focus on the struggle and the spirit to fight and end up victorious despite of the impossible odds ahead of them.

This was the official statement of Netflix's Chief Content Officer regarding the movie, "The story of how Pat Quinlan led his troops against an overwhelming force without using a single man is one of the great stories of the 20th century and we are proud to be working with such a talented and committed team to bring it to life." "This film will be an amazing addition to our global original films initiative," Ted Sarandon added.

Jadotville is scheduled to be aired in Netflix by 016 and a possible release in theaters is also being placed into consideration.

Netflix is really leaning into producing original movies together with its rosters of original TV series like House of Cards and Orange is the New Black. The streaming service also recently closed a four-picture deal with actors like the Duplass brothers and Adam Sandler. It is predicted that by 2016, 2- original movies has been already produced and are ready to be premiered online across all of Netflix's territories.
