Ever since "The Walking Dead" returned last February 8, Sunday's has really become an exciting day for diehard fans of the series. Two episodes has been aired since the premiers and yet the rumors, spoilers and speculations of that's coming next are not stopping. Continuous analysis on every detail shown on the television screens leads to another exciting possibility in the show.
Let us all go back to the season premiere of the season 5 of "The Walking Dead". We are not going to relieve and analyze Tyreese last moments but would rather look into the possible "clues" left around that abandoned town. Rumors of a new villain, a mysterious group to appear in the series kept fans glued and anticipating. Is this the season for another war among the undead?
A clue about this mysterious group appeared in Episode 9. The words "The Wolves" were spray painted in the walls of Noah's abandoned town. Several dismembered people were also found near the broken fence where Michonne had a breakdown. These images are quite very intriguing especially to those who have followed the series in comics. Who could have possibly sliced these people into pieces? Were they attacked by the undead of by scavenging humans? The parked container van that was hit by Rick's group while trying to escape the town was also filled with "half-sliced" zombies.
Is this signs of Negan's group? According to the comic version of the series, Negan's group is a group of scavengers located around the Washington area. The group kills everyone on sight, whether dead or undead to make ends meet. Is his group "The Wolves" that presumably torn down Noah's town? Fans are speculating that the writers of the series might have changed Negan's group name from "The Saviors" to "The Wolves" to avoid spilling too much clues on what could possibly happen next in the series.
Following the series of events in the comic book, The Atlanta Safe Zone comes first before Negan's group. So Aaron, who just recently appeared on Episode 11, could really possibly be the person who will lead Rick's group to the safe zone in Atlanta. Spoilers around the internet are also leaning into the fact that Aaron is actually recruiting people to keep Atlanta intact and safe, possibly from Negan's group.
But Atlanta seems to be a temporary refuge for the group. Another villain, "Derek" is rumored to be coming to the place to do no good. This is definitely very bad news for Rick's group, but a very explosive way to end season 5.
The new episodes of "The Walking Dead" series air every Sunday night on AMC.
