'Elder Scrolls' Online Xbox One, PS4, PC Release Date: Update 6 adds Collections System, Paid Health and XP Boost Potions

By

Bethesda has announced massive details on The Elder Scrolls Online release date set this March for PC, Mac and on June 9 for current gen consoles, Xbox One, PS4.

According to Eurogamer, the MMO's Crown Store will soon allow players to buy health, stamina, magic as well as boost potions using real-world currencies and convert the cash into crowns.

In addition to the above, aesthetic items, upgraded mounts, vanity pets, fancy costumes and a lot more are also made available.

Game creator, Zenimax Online Studios has noted that these stocks are "customisation and convenience" items that will not affect TESO's core gameplay.

"[Potions] can be purchased with crowns, but they're functionally very similar to the potions you can purchase from in-game vendors, and they're somewhat weaker and less effective than player-crafted potions," game director Matt Firor explained in a new blog post.

"This gives the player a choice: spend some crowns to get potions right now, or play a while to earn in-game gold and then spend it either at a vendor, another player, or at a Guild Store."

Bethesda has also confirmed that the PC subscription for The Elder Scrolls Online will be dropped next month, however, players who opt for the paid-up will be entitled to an allowance of 1500 crowns each month.

The Elder Scrolls Online release also adds update 6 Collections System that allows easy access to items and frees up a ton of space.

Game Watcher reported that the Collections window will include three categories such as mounts, vanity pets, and costumes. These collectibles can be 'activated' straight through the window or get them bound to keys without necessarily trashing into the player inventory.

"Whenever you obtain a new item that belongs in one of these collections, it automatically hops into its place-you don't need to do anything at all. When Update 6 launches, all the costumes, pets, and mounts you already have will be moved to the Collections window for you, as well," ZeniMax Online team explained.

The Elder Scrolls Online Xbox One, PS4 release date is set on June 9 with no subscription free but will require a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live membership to play.
