'Persona 5' PS4, PS3 Release Date: Specialized in-house engine, social links, thief hero Arsene revealed

Persona 5 release date confirmed to head on PS4, PS3 systems this year is touted as one of the most anticipated games of 2015.

The latest teaser video unveiled last week, fans are definitely in for another exciting Playstation gaming experience as developer Atlus promises an advanced graphics features that have been developed on a specialized in-house engine and more nice surprises.

Gematsu reports that Dengeki PlayStation has published a feature offering hefty reveals about Person 5 including dashing new photos of the game protagonist who is described to bear a Clark Kent/Carmen Sandiego-inspired charm.

It's been revealed in gameplay of Persona 5 that a great darkness surrounds Shibuya, a district of Tokyo, and Shujin Academy. The game hero from out of town steals at night to survive being alone.

The Persona 5 central character is based on the legendary fictional thief, Arsene Lupin (Lupin III for fans of the anime/manga) where previous entries of the series one can surprise enemies in battle by sneaking from behind. This mechanic is reiterated where social Links could be renamed as 'Cooperation' as a buddy system is still in play.

As an extra delightful treat, the first gameplay teaser features a soundtrack that fans must have surely loved. Longtime series composer Shoji Meguro returns in creating the game's soundtrack.

Atlus confirmed that Persona 5 release date is expected on PS4, PS3 consoles to debut in 2015 both in Japan and North America.
