Kendrick Lamar’s New Album, Anticipated Release Before 2015 Ends: New Single 'The Blacker the Berry' Coming Soon

Upon the release of his new single last 2014, Kendrick Lamar had declared in an interview with Carson Daly that he is working on a single for his next album. However, Lamar's fans need to wait a little bit longer for the said album since there is still no particular release date set.

He is reported to be currently working on his new single "The Blacker the Berry" which from the title itself raises some racism issues. Watch out for the song for this rapper's bout on racism. The song is said to carry a strong voice in tackling the issue on racial violence. He poses a strong point on hypocrisy as it is said to very rampant in this time today. The song would carry a personal and authoritative tone. He carried not only himself in the song but also his entire community.

Kendrick Lamar will be performing together with other big shot artists such as Mary J. Blige, Kevin Hart, and Erykah Badu in the 2015 Essence festival. The Essence Festival featured a lot of famous names before including Kanye West. The festival will be celebrating its 21st year on July 2-5, 2015.

Among the many seasoned performers only Lamar is the neophyte to the Essence Festival. Kendrick Lamar's debut song "good kid, m.A.A.d city" had featured the singer's roots and youth back in his childhood place at Compton, California. This song had sold more than a million copies and was declared by the Rolling Stones as one of the albums of the year thus proving Kendrick Lamar's Place in the festival.

His musical history includes being nominated in the prestigious Grammy Awards though not one of his seven nominations scored a win. His mash-up of his debut single and Imagine Dragon's "Radioactive" at the 2014 Grammy Telecast gained positive feedbacks.

So for the fans of King Kendrick Lamar, be patient and expect for an album worth waiting for.
