It has been almost 2 years since the successful release of the Play Station 4 by the Japanese video giant, Sony. Sony released the game console in November 2014 and it was widely accepted by the gamers of this generation. Over 1.8 million console units were sold worldwide. Therefore it would come to no surprise for this console giant to follow up the success with the launch of the Sony PS4 Slim this year.
Up to now, there had been many speculations and leaks as to what and how would this new PS4 console code named "Monolith" would look like? This is in response to the pattern that has been set by Sony which is to release sleeker, slimmer, and an upgraded version of their original released consoles. However, these leaked images seemed to questionable after being compared to Microsoft's Xbox One. Leaked images would show that the brand new console would appear thinner thus given the title slim. However, the images would proved to be not plausible since the size of the Blu-Ray disc that is used in Play Station 4 would not fit in the supposed Play Station 4 Design. This would prove that the design concept had irrational dimensional features.
Furthermore, Sony announced on their website, "Support for high-resolution 4K output for still images and movie content is in consideration, but there are no further details to share at this time". So far this is the only information Sony had released for the public.
Rumor has it that Sony is said to release Play Station 4 Slim at the Electronic Entertainment Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center this coming June 16, 2015. The E3 2015 is said to be the world's premier trade show for computer and video game related products. So for all the fans of Sony, you have a few more months to wait for the new PS4 slim.
