Oscar Pistorius made headlines when he became the first amputee to have ever joined Olympics. He competed against able running contenders. While he is popular in the world of sports, his name catapulted to fame when few years ago, he killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.
Steenkamp was a very promising young lady. Sadly, all the great things that could have happened to her vanished. Pistorius claimed that it was not his intention to kill his girlfriend. All the while he thought that it was an intruder who was in their bathroom. Fearing for his life, he shot Steenkamp several times. Some believed his story, while most, especially Steenkamp's family think otherwise.
The judge who provided the final verdict that Pistorius wasn't guilty of murder reportedly faced a lot of controversies. In fact, she was under police protection for a time as she received threats because of her judgment. Some believed that she was insane.
The Blade Runner is now in prison. If you think that he is suffering big time, think again. Sources say that Pistorius is enjoying a number of perks most inmates are deprived of. He can now have physical contact with his visitor. He is also allowed to wear jewelries. Just so you know, the athlete is fond of wearing luxurious watches. He also has an additional allowance that would allow him to buy toiletries and other snacks. Of course, this didn't sit well to Steenkamp's supporters.
The prison guards shared that Pistorius has a good reputation behind bars. That was also his leverage in having the additional privileges. But what puzzles the entire world is the real story behind Steenkamp's killing. Was it really an accident? Or was it intentional?
More questions are now being thrown because one report mentioned that Oscar Pistorius was not a good boyfriend. On the day of the killing, it was believed that Steenkamp was about to leave the athlete which may have caused the argument and eventually, the killing.
