The latest rumor on Mortal Kombat X release date is that a new DLC that introduces Predator as a guest playable character is coming out in June after initial launch of fighting game on Xbox One, PS4, and PC platforms this April.
Rumour says that the DLC pack will also include Col. Al Dillon who was a character in the original movie. Dillon, who is played by actor Carl Weathers, was a CIA agent who died in an attempt to hunt the Predator. The actor is said that he also offered the game developer to use his likeness to be used in the game.
Warner Bros. did not comment about the rumour when asked by Videogamer and the publisher has yet to announce about their plans on DLC for the game. In Mortal Kombat 9, it featured Kratos of God of War and Freddie Krueger of the horror movie Nightmare On Elm Street as guest fighting characters .
Likewise, Spawn is also expected to join the roster of fighters that will appear in Mortal Kombat X release.GamerFitnation reported that Spawn creator Todd McFarlane answered the affirmative when he was interviewed by Tamika Moultrie if Spawn will be included. The gaming website claimed in their article that McFalane confirmed and "already said 'yes' to the Mortal Kombat X Spawn inclusion."
"I gave them a window of time, so I'll just leave it to them to do what it is that they want," McFarlane said in the interview, referring to the Mortal Kombat X developer about the possibility of Spawn's character's appearance in other games.
"That means that they have access to be able to use the character in a couple of their games, if they want to...again, it's up to their discretion," he said.
But it is still up to the developer's final decision if they will include Spawn in the game. "Well, I don't know if they're ever going to use him. They just might squat...they might squat on him," McFarlane said.
Mortal Kombat X release date is slated on April 14, 2015 for PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows PC and the full roster of fighting characters is said to be announced soon.
