Until now, fans are still waiting for the release of Kendrick Lamar's new album. Reports said that it remained untitled and no album cover yet as of the moment. Amid silence, fans are still hyped while waiting for the album launching.

Though further details about the 27-year-old TDE rapper, Kendrick Lamar's album remained unannounced, still, fans had the chance to hear a gilmpse to its tracks through its newly released single 'The Blacker The Berry' which was released earlier this month. The song featured historical-related themes such as the African racism from the previous centuries, as well as the current society's hyprocrisy and police violence are also included.

'The Blacker The Berry' was reported to be an opposite to the previous song released, 'i' since it touches with person's self-awareness. The 'i' single won a Grammy award for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. According to News Everyday, the song 'The Blacker The Berry,' since it also talks about hypocricsy, starts a striking line, "I'm the biggest hypocrite of 2015." The approach of the single is more aggressive, powerful, and at the same time cynical, which displays clear edge of the rapper from the rest of the rappers. His brave straightforwardness clearly showed in his songs.

One source cited that the themes he featured in his new single are existing in his own culture which he is trying to expose through comparing Compton to the African tribal war and how the black-on-black crimes are taken for granted by giving little justification. His lines said, "So why did I weep when Trayvon Martin was in the street? When gang banging make me kill a [explicit] blacker than me? Hypocrite!"

What makes the new single outstanding is taking the roots why the genre of hip hop was made. Historically, hip hop was made to call the attention of the people to listen through making them aware of the on-going issues existing in the society through such genre of music. This purpose was perfectly made possible by Lamar through his new single.

Since the details about the new album is not yet confirmed as of now, fans will not know how diffferent it would be from the previous album "m.A.A.d city" which was released in 2012. Thus, they are hoping that with Lamar's future performances such as the 2015 Sasquatch! Festival this April, they will hear some of the tracks included in his upcoming album. On the other side, "m.A.A.d city" is already considered a classic that garnered a lot of positive feedbacks. Thus, made him one of the important voices in hip-hop after Tupac Shakur.

Meanwhile, Lamar will be performing in 2015 Sasquatch! Festival over Memorial Day Weekend at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, Washington. In addition, he is also one of the headliners for the UK Wireless Festival in London by July 3 to 5 and 4 with Avicii. Aside from these big performances, he will also perform in 2015 Essece festival which will take place in three days on July 2 at Mercedes-Benz Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana.
