‘F1’ 2015 PS4, Xbox One Release Date: Screenshot leaks summer release; Codemasters confirms HD resolution

By

The latest "F1" game that would be released this summer 2015 would step up and test the mettle of "next-gen" gaming consoles as it promised to run at 1080p / 60fps HD resolution. Based on the screenshot leaks, a Grand Prix circuit at Mexico City would be part of the new title.

The leaks were, unfortunately, taken down after they were uploaded. The screenshots were discovered at the Facebook page of "F1 Game memes." However, Codemasters confirmed the the images were indeed part of the "confidential internal development email." Also, the game developers have shared that they would be targeting to have the game run smoothly 1080p / 60fps HD resolution.

Although little information could be gathered from the screenshot leaks, it seemed that the latest "F1" game would be released by June. However, instead of having a complete roster of racing cars for the 2015 season, the upcoming title would include all the cars in the 2014 season plus 2015 hybrid models. For gamers that want to see the entire set of model cars for 2015, they have to wait for an update, which would be introduced after the game's release. The update subsequent to the game's release would be, to everyone's delight, for free.

Traditionally, Codemasters would release an "F1" game by fall. However, it seemed that Codemasters were speeding up development of the newest "F1" game and racing the clock until the game's rumored release by summer. This latest title would also be the first game in the series that would be released for PS4 and Xbox One.

Nonetheless, Codemasters reminded gamers that the leaked screenshots of "F1" were a work-in-progress. This development stage of the project would include "broadcast" and "voice over" features. They added that "at this time, all content is subject to approval by Formula One Management and the teams."
