Now that Gibbs is back on "NCIS", he is ready to take on more action as spoilers of Episode 16, "Blast from the Past" is released. In the next episode of the series, the team takes on an investigation about a recent explosion in a recent meeting that causes the spread of global terror and tension. Unfortunately, Gibbs withdraws on the investigation and chose to spend time with Forrell who is in grief after losing Diane.

A press release for the 16th episode of the series was released by CBS, "A covert identity created for one of Gibbs' undercover cases from 20 years ago, will resurface when a murder victim is found living under the alias. A blast from the past, indeed."

In the last episodes of the series, Russian terrorists recently ignited a commotion in a recent summit that was supposed to be attended by Vance. It was no simple gas explosion because gunpowder can be smelled everywhere. Gibbs started to feel suspicious as he sees a familiar face in the crowd, Russian Councilor Pavlenko. Gibbs and Vance are not feeling any adoration for Pavlenko, who happens to arrive late and was miraculously excluded from the blast. Pavlenko learns of the presence of a Russian made grenade in the scene of the crime and instantly places the blame with Mishnev. Gibbs threatens Pavlenko to stay out of the way. Viewers suggest that he does, or either he face the wrath Gibbs is ready to unleash.

Though facing an important case, Gibbs needs to leave and to attend to Emily. She just called and informed him about Diane's demise and the non-stop drinking frenzy Fornell has gotten into. He promised to helped, and he definitely will to help Fornell get back on his feet. He later on decides to leave a very important case, a Mishnev case to Vance in order to help Fornell.

Gibbs manages to have a private talk with Fornell in a private cabin. He is really decided to help his friend out. It's going to be a blame game for the two. Gibbs blames himself for their current situation and Fornell blames himself as well. A conclusion is not possible unless the two realizes that they are needed somewhere else, not in a hunting cabin where they continue playing on blaming themselves for Diane's death. The two continues to uncover unlikely stories from the past that will definitely leave the viewers in shock. Will these revelations manage to solve a 2 decade case that is left unclosed?

"NCIS" airs every Tuesday night in CBS.
