"Terminator 5: Genisys" will premiere on RealD 3D and IMAX 3D Theaters this July 1, 2015. Plot detail reveals that Sarah Connor will be raised by an aging Terminator who saved her from the previous Terminators in the film franchise.
There were reports that the upcoming "Terminator 5: Genisys" movie will involve three different time periods. These time periods will include the Future Wars which has been teased in the previous Terminator movies and tackled in Terminator Salvation. The 1984 time period will also be included where the Terminator 1 and Terminator Judgment Day were set. Another undisclosed time period will also be included and it is estimated to be further back in time where Sarah Connor is still young.
The story for the upcoming Terminator Genisys is set on 2029 where John Connor is set to lead mankind against the domination of Skynet and its machine. It will also reveal the imminent defeat of Skynet and its countermeasure to create the T-1000 and T-800 models Terminators which will be set to the past to assassinate a 9 year old Sarah Connor. John Connor will have to send T-101 to travel back in time to save Sarah Connor's life. He will also send his lieutenant Kyle Reese to ensure T-101 and to ensure his existence.
In the past, the 9 year old Sarah will be saved by T-101 who will have to raise and train her in order to fight the 2 Terminators to be sent to kill her in the future. When Kyle Reese arrives in 1984, he will be on a different timeline compared to Terminator 1 considering that T-101 effectively changed the future of Sarah Connor.
"Terminator 5: Genisys" was not filmed with 3D Camera and it will be going under a "2D to 3D conversion" in order for it to be released in RealD 3D and IMAX 3D Theaters. There are also reports that the producers of the new Terminator movie will use custom 3D glasses with the logo of their movie. Report has it that the glasses will be the same as the one used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator film franchise.
