Choi Siwon' film 'Dragon Blade' earns big in Box Office; Super Junior to stage concert with Girls Generation in April

One of the sought-after Hallyu stars, Choi Siwon continues to hit big projects such as films and concert these days. Apart from that his current film with Jackie Chan 'Dragon Blade', the 28-year old singer-performer will also stage live show in Manila with his K-Pop band Super Junior in April.

Now showing in Hong Kong and China cinemas, 'Dragon Blade' is big-budgeted film that's written and directed by Daniel Lee earned $54.8 million from Feb. 19 to 22 according to Variety. Siwon played soldier Yin Po, a comrade to lead character Hou An that's played by Asian superstar Jackie Chan.

Dragon is Siwon's film after 'A Battle of Wits' which showed more than eight years ago, but still he never fails to impress his fellow actors in his current Chinese movie that also starring Hollywood stars John Cusack and Adrien Brody. In their tours in Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, and China the K-Pop singer 's fans were there to support him.

"He always thinks about the next generation. He is always humble. He always helps people. I am very glad to know him," Choi sentiment on working with Asian superstar at film's media conference in Singapore.

Channel News Asia reported that after Dragon, the 'Skip Beat' actor will work on three more movies and two TV series. Furthermore, director Lee already asked him to do another film with him.

"I actually discussed this problem a lot with Daniel Lee. He said 'Si-won, you have to promise me you will appear in my next film before you go into the army'. I said 'Okay. But next time, you must give me a lot of screen time!' So he agreed and told me to treat this time as a warm up," Siwon shared.

Aside from the movie, the actor was also asked about marriage especially that his fellow SuJu member Lee Sung-min tied the knot last year. He admitted that after Lee's wedding he started to think about settling down.

"My dream girl is someone who can get along with my parents really well and be a strong bridge between my own family and them. She has to be understanding, because as artists, we are often not home because of our job, always working, making movies. She also has to be someone who can manage my family," Choi imparted.

Meanwhile, Choi and his Super Junior group will have a big concert in Manila, Philippines together with another K-Pop band Girl Generations and promising act 4 Red Velvet . Their show "The Best of the Best in the Philippines" will take place in Philippine Arena on April 12.
