Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were hit with scores of divorce rumors last year, but it seems the couple are in a much stronger relationship and are happier than ever.
In her appearance on Good Morning America, Portia joked about reports and rumors that she and Ellen were experiencing trouble in paradise, reported Daily Mail.
She related an instance in which she was told that she would be landing a role in 'Scandal':
"My agent called and says, 'I have Scandal news.' You don't ever want to hear from your agent.
"I was like, 'Oh no, what? Are we divorcing again?' Gosh, I can't keep up with it."
She and Ellen have been big fans of the show even before she was given a role.
'Ellen and I binge watched the first season and a half, we were a little late to the game,' she said. 'But we could not stop watching the show and I was such an incredible, insane fan, that to actually be on the show is a very surreal experience for me still.'
She could not hide her excitement when her agent told her that she's cast as Elizabeth 'Lizzie Bear' North.
"He told me that I was going to be on the show, and I swear I was so excited, and I'm still that excited to be a part of it," Portia blurted out.
The 42-year-old also grabbed the opportunity to plug her show during her appearance.
'I don't know if it's just because I'm in it, but it feels to me like I can't breathe when I'm watching the show. It's just so dense. There's just so much to watch.'
Recently, their marriage was threatened by Ellen's involvement with Mel B of Spice Girls who admitted her bisexuality.
Quoting Globe Magazine, Mstarz reported some of the infidelity rumors that the Portia and Ellen had to deal with.
"Ellen DeGeneres has been comforting America's Got Talent judge Mel B over her stormy marriage. And that has sparked big trouble with the talk queen's jealous wife Portia de Rossi, who has been having nightmares that Ellen might run off with the bisexual former Spice Girl. Pals fear this new crisis could push Portia over the edge, especially since she has been looking scary skinny and she could be battling anorexia again."
Their marriage, however, remained intact, and as Ellen revealed to People, she falls more in love with Portia all the time.
"The truth is, and this is corny, I fall more in love with Portia all the time. I really do. She surprises me all the time.
"It's what anyone experiences when you find that person that gets you, wants to take care of you, wants the best for you. We're really lucky because we know how rare it is."
