GoPro Hero 5 Release, Price, and Specs: New 12 MP sensor GoPro capable of capturing 4K videos at 60 f/s?

GoPro Hero 4 is considered as the most advanced of the other GoPros yet. However, the rumor mill is on the go for the release of the GoPro Hero 5. The Hero 5 is said to be a whole different level compared to the GoPro Hero 4. Many features of the GoPro Hero 4 were said to be improved for the perfect GoPro experience in Hero 5. How real could these rumors be? Here are some points of comparisons.

1. The new Hero 5, reportedly, will be sporting an A10 chip which is capable of capturing 4K videos at 60 frames per second. The current Hero 4 black can only even take 30 frames per second while the Hero 4 Silver can take 15 frames per second. Up to date there is no camcorder that could match the ability of Hero 5 when it comes to videography.

2. The new Hero 5 will be sporting a dual-lens set-up which would enable the device to execute 3D technology support. This would mean a revolutionized photography for the GoPros. Hero Black and Silver could shoot pictures 30 frames per second with a 12 megapixel sensor.

3. To cater to the demands of the users, GoPro will be taking action in extending the battery life of the newest of the Hero series. The GoPro Hero 5 is rumored to increase its battery life through its 2800 mAh battery. This upgrade is said to increase the battery life to 150%. This is a huge leap from the Hero 4 series which houses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with 1160 mAh.

With all these new upgrades in the GoPro series, fans would find it difficult to resist owning the Hero 5. So rumors has it that the Hero 5 might be in the market soon this year. According to Gospel Herald, the GoPro Hero 5 might be out on the October of this year. The price range would sell around to $400 to $500.

Other features of the Hero 5 includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI port and Waterproof (could stand to be underwater up to 60 meters).
