The multitudes of viewers of AMC's family-drama series "The Walking Dead" is up for an exciting Season 5 finale this coming March 29. AMC just officially announced that instead of the usual 45 minute show, the season finale will be extended and will run for 90 minutes. That's 90 minutes of zombie slashing and action packed season finale. Fans are definitely celebrating with the announcement.

The series just recently concluded its 11th episode last Sunday, February 22. Everyone is happy to see the group finally getting to the much coveted Atlanta Safe Zone. All is well for the group. No one died, yet, and finally they will get their much deserve rest and of course, food to satiate their hunger. They are still at the gates, but the sound of children playing and laughing inside the compound is more than enough proof that Atlanta is indeed a safe place, and they are actually in a sanctuary they could probably call home.

Eric and Aaron were the latest addition to the roster of new casts that will grace the show. Another one to look forward to in the next episodes is Samantha. Alexandra Breckenridge, from the American Horror Story will play the part. Her character still remains anonymous because fans are speculating that she either doesn't exist in the comic series, just like Daryl, or her name was replaced to keep the excitement for the next episodes intact.

As the group enter the Atlanta Safe Zone, Rick will start to feel being "out of place." He's used to running, he is used with the daily survival tactics and he's used in having one purpose, getting through the day alive. Things will start to slow down for him and the team as they settle in the new place.

But of course, the next episode will definitely be exciting. A little bit of twists and change of events here and there will definitely lead the show into the explosive season ended the network is bragging about. Several dangers are speculated to come Atlanta's way. There is the dangerous Derek group, as well as "The Wolves" who tore down Noah's hometown.

Rumors of Glenn, dying in the finale is quite disturbing. He's one of the original casts of the series and seeing him go will break Maggie's heart, almost everyone's heart. Fans are praying that this would not happen. But with the way the show surprises its audience, die-hard Glenn fans are keeping their fingers crossed that Glenn will survive this season.

"The Walking Dead" airs every Sunday 8 p.m. on AMC.
