A "super powered team-up show" will likely happen in the DC TV Universe. CW Television Network is planning to venture into another program which will utilize characters from both "The Flash" and "Arrow".
The still unnamed super-hero drama venture as reported by Deadline, have confirmed that Arrow's Brandon Routh who played Ray Palmer Aka The Atom and The Flash's Wentworth Miller who played the villain Captain Cold, Victor Garber who played the other half of the meta-human Firestorm. Katie Lotz was also included in the project although it was not yet revealed if she will be donning the "Black Canary" costume. Her Sara Lance character was killed last year in The Flash and subsequently her sister Laurel has recently took up her masked identity.
Last January, it was reported that Routh will have a spin-off of his exosuit-wearing superhero. The CW president Mark Pedowicz said that they were on "a preliminary discussion" and that [the show] has to stand on its own legs. That preliminary discussions however lead to a full blown show with more DC superheroes joining the cast. This will also be the debut of three major characters from the DC Universe who have never appeared in a TV series.
Still involve in the creative undertaking are "Arrow" creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim.
Meanwhile, Kreisberg disclosed in a related interview via Vanity of the Atom's emergence in Starling City and a possible rift with Team Arrow.
"... it's the fact that there's a new superhero in town and he's going to go about things in a very different way than the Arrow does. He's not a part of Team Arrow. Right now, he's just a very smart guy in a very, very powerful suit. Oliver's definitely going to have an opinion and the first instance of that will be episode 317."
