Dakota Johnson becomes a household name due to her famous movie Fifty Shades of Grey and she showed her gratefulness by mocking the film? Jamie Dornan's 25-year old actress leading lady used her 50 shades experience as a foundation of her 'Saturday Night Live' opening skit. Actress even shared she now knew why her parents Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson refused to watch her movie.

In Dakota's opening monologue, she shared how 50 Shades has changed her life. She explained it by telling that her dog walker's winks and a cleaner who couldn't look at her eyes.

"For those of you who don't know me, I'm currently starring in Fifty Shades of Grey," said the actress who played Anastasia Steele in the film directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson. "Fifty Shades of Grey is the novel that made you never want to touch your mother's Kindle again."

Both Griffith and Johnson might reject the idea to see their daughter on the big screen, but nevertheless they united to support her show on February 28, where they're also part of Dakota's monologue. "Now I understand why my parents won't be seeing my movie," said the actress who played Anastasia Steele in the film directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson. "It's actually incredible."

The two veteran Hollywood stars were married twice and separated in 1994. It's been a long while since they showed together in one event, but they did it for NBC's show and Dakota.

"In December of 1988, my mother stood in this exact spot and hosted SNL," the 'Social Network' actress shared. "And this is true, right after the show my father got down on one knee and proposed to her for the second time. And exactly 9 months later I was born... So I must've been conceived that night after the show or even during the show. Isn't that right you guys?"

Then camera showed Griffith and Johnson on one single frame and gamely answered their daughter's question by pretending their hiding their eyes. Dakota then inquired about it, the estranged couple were apparently blocking their eyes not because they were ashamed to admit their past, but because they might see something else.

"That's because we were afraid you were going to be naked," the 65-year old 'Miami Vice' actor said.

SNL, is a more than three decades show and famous to bring notable stars to act out some sketches that may raise eyebrows. In Dakota's episode, she also did parody of Jennifer Laurence's role in 'Birdman,' an ISIS recruit and nurse assistant.

As a nurse, the actress acted with a hospital crew who was completely in a Star Trek's persona. The said sketch was connected then to SNL's tribute to Star Trek star Leonard Nimoy who succumbed to lung illness on Friday at age of 83.

For those asking if Dakota is aware on critics' feedback about her box office hot film adapted from E.L. James' best-selling novel, she apparently shrugs it off. "I have a funny feeling at next year's Oscars, it's going to be not... anywhere," the actress' sentiment.

Meantime, the supportive mom Griffith lauded Dakota for her SNL's success performance. The Golden Globe winner actress commented that her daughter "killed it." "She killed it!!! Wow! I loved her poise, her comic timing, her grace, loved everything she did!! Dakota on SNL.
