Christian Grey's story definitelty will not stay at "Red Room of Pain" and affect Anastasia Steele only as the raunchy film adaptation of E.L. James' earned over $400 million worldwide. Furthermore, the film's box office success is also surrounded by various controversies including a stabbing incident in UK and a woman's public indecency case in Mexico.

"The film is now over $400 million worldwide," ticket-sales company Rentrak's Paul Dergarabedian shared. "It's an unqualified, out-and-out success. That second-week drop gets relegated to the who-cares category. This movie was a sprinter out of the gate, posting the biggest opening weekend ever for February and becoming a worldwide phenomenon the minute it was released."

Fifty Shades has been controversial story for covering BDSM romance between billionaire Mr. Grey and college student Steele. However it was also the reason why it became a best-selling book novel that's also categorized by some critics as a mommy porn book. Now that it's adapted into a film starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, it seems that it also aroused scandalous incidents in different cinemas.

According to Daily Mail's story, via La Verdad, an unmarried 33-year old in Sinaloa, Mexico was arrested after she caught by fellow moviegoers masturbating inside the cinema house. Daily Mail added that the woman, who seated in the twelfth row and watched two days after 50 Shades' launching, was removed from theater and slapped with public indecency charge.

In Telegraph's story, three women were reportedly stabbed a man at Grosvenor Cinema in Glasgow, United Kingdom on Valentine's day. According to a 33-year old witness named Michael Bolton, the victim was just silencing three women as they were very loud during the screening.

"A woman came out the theatre and said that a guy had been glassed," Bolton said. "One woman was in handcuffs and another two women were in tears. She said that three or four girls had been very loud and were shouting. The man had asked them to shut up and he was glassed. It's a cinema where you can buy drink."

"Only in Glasgow are police called to the cinema. This type of behaviour happens at pubs and nightclubs, but you don't expect that at a cinema."

"The guys at the cinema were tidying up the blood before going in. They were wiping down seats before the start of the 8.20pm film.

Meanwhile, Grosvenor cinema's spokeswoman said that it was an isolated case. "I can confirm that an incident occurred on Saturday 14 February following an early evening showing of 50 Shades Of Grey.

"This was an isolated incident that was dealt with rapidly by cinema staff and stewards, as a result of which, Police Scotland attended and made an arrest.
