"Slender: The Arrival" will be hitting screens by March 24 in PS4 and Xbox One. Reportedly, the first commercial release was excellent in Xbox 360, and PS3 platforms. However, for the Wii U version to follow as the game developer will take this next logical step sometime around.
The most successful horror-indie game, "Slender: The Arrival" will arrive in PS4 and Xbox One in March 24 after its last year's success with the game's initial release in PS3 and Xbox 360 concoles. The two additional levels were said to be excluded with the original PC release. As mentioned by International Business Times, the PC version was distributed through Steam was mentioned to receive the extra content through DLC. Yet, as of now, there were no current official announcement whether Blue Isle Studios, the game developer, if there will be a possibility to have another additional content for the next-generation consoles which will contain the DLC content which was released in PC earlier.
The previous version of the game, "Slender: The Eight Pages" which was originally released by Parsec Productions only as a free download. Mentioned by the same site source, this was the original title that featured short playtime for players to find eight notes that were scattered around the forest before they'll be jumped by Slenderman.
Based from the original storyline, "Slender: The Arrival" will still revolve around Slenderman's legend. But, they will be making a femal protagonist for the gameplay named Lauren. She will be searching for her friend, Kate. Thus, making the same jump scare mechanics for the upcoming version since the player will be exploring the creepy abandoned locations with her only tool, flashlight. Cited from another website, Kate was abducted by a ghastly horro entity known as the Slenderman.
The game will be the only official Slenderman game created in conjunction with Eric "Victor Surge" Knudsen, who was also credited with the creation of the meme that also spawned success in the video game franchising.
Slender's entire game appearance seemed simple in terms of its design. But what makes it more exciting is the gameplay itself where the gamers will be searching through the scary abandoned areas while searching for clues to avoid Slenderman as much as possible.
Because of the game's natural unpredictability, players cannot assume when could Slenderman appear. Thus, making the exciting thrill through the gameplay. So, Slender has made its overwhelming success in the market of gaming industry because of its unique title.
"Slender: The Arrival" will be released in PS4 and Xbox One this March 24, as the Wii U version to arrive some time around.
