Is "Captain America: Civil War" an "Avengers" sequel in disguise? Chris Hemsworth comes back, Daredevil to premiere on Netflix

By

"Captain America: Civil War" is an odd idea- the "Civil War" comic wasn't an obvious choice for a "Captain America" movie. Sure, Captain America is at the center of the story, but "Civil War" is about all of Marvel's heroes being split apart- and it involves a number of superheroes so massive that "Captain America: Civil War" might as well be an "Avengers" movie in disguise.

But is that really possible? Well, for one, we already know that Black Panther and Spider-Man (as well as Iron Man) will already feature in the film- and that's far more heroes than we ever see in a Marvel CInematic Universe solo film. As well, they may be interacting in roles far beyond mere cameos, as MoviePilot hints that there may be some major developments between Spider-Man and Iron Man. Perhaps, as they suggest, Tony Stark building an Iron Spider suit for Peter Parker.

Cinema Blend adds that Daredevil- a hero set to premiere this spring in Marvel's first Netflix series, "Marvel's Daredevil"- may also have a role in "Captain America: Civil War." As well, they're suggesting the same thing, that "Civil War" may be nothing more than a mini-"Avengers" film without the word "Avengers" in the title.

Incredibly, even more heroes are rumored to be a part of the film. Digital Trends adds that Paul Bettany, who'll be playing the hero The Vision in the upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron," has spoken vaguely about another superhero project six months in the future. Which would be a perfect timeline for "Captain America: Civil War." So we could be seeing Vision in the film as well.

Honestly, "Captain America: Civil War" being a mini-"Avengers" film is probably a wonderful thing for the Marvel Universe. For one, it'll build anticipation around the film- but more than that, the MCU needs to bring its heroes together more than once every three or four years. This way, they can keep bouncing characters off each other without having to wait for an official "Avengers" sequel to do so.
