Big Sean New Album 'Dark Sky Paradise' is making massive hits, after it was released last week. Kanye West was 'heavily involved' producing three songs on the new album. The single 'Research' speculates something's not good between Ariana and Big Sean?
According to The Detroit News, Big Sean is under Kanye West's GOOD Music imprint. It was mentioned that the West was "heavily involved," in the production, collaborating three songs on the new album, like what happened to Sean's two previous efforts. "This was the most he's ever been involved with any of my projects," he said.
"I always feel good about getting advice from him. He's a great tastemaker, and his opinion is valid. We might disagree sometimes, but he always respects me." Big Sean told the source.
Meanwhile, Big Sean said he enjoyed recording the bonus track "Research" with singer Ariana Grande, whom he is currently dating with.
"Her voice is amazing," he said. "Working together with her was not weird at all. It was good to have her put our relationship aside, come together and make great music."
It was MTV reported that Big Sean and Ariana Grande's duet is not the kind they have expected, and that's how the couple had planned.
According to MTV, those listeners to the song 'Research' may think that "there's trouble in paradise." It is also because of the lyrics "What you got to hide, lying next to me at night," she sings with her breathy vocal tone." Ariana, in breathy vocal tone.
Followed by Sean's line: "But you're unlocking my cell, like you is a cop, how you decode/ All my v-mails, Gmails, even P.O. boxes got me p-o'd."
However, Big Sean told MTV that "everything is good" between him and Ariana. He explained to MTV News that their new song is just a song.
"Well, that's why I like the record. I feel like it's cool to songs about your current situation, but I think it's cool - I mean, me and Ariana been working together. We got a couple of songs together, so I wanted to do something different. I wanted to bring her into my world and I appreciate her for setting her situation aside and was a real artist about it," he said.
Six singles from latest album have already been out, including "I Don't F*** With You," "One Man Can Change The World," "Paradise," "Blessings," and "Win Some, Lose Some."
According to a report, "Dark Sky Paradise" is projected to sell about 140,000 copies since it released to make it straight to the top of the Billboard 200 chart.
